 Credit Card Trouble-shooting Guideline

Depend on the issuing bank and the history of your credit card; some may experience difficulty in on-line transaction during registration. Many difficulties may relate to the 3D-Secure System of the credit card authorization.

According to the regulations promulgated by National Credit Card Center of R.O.C., all the following steps must be satisfied on-line transaction.

Step1: Confirm your credit card transaction
(on-line purchase and international transactions authorized by your credit card issuer)

Step2: Fill in correct and complete credit card information

Step3: Complete Authorization

Step4: Enrol 3D Secure Verification

  • You will need to sign up for 3D Secure - which is an added security measure (and verification procedure) employed by the major credit card issuers - before your card will be processed online.

  • You will only need to enrol for 3D Secure once (for each credit card you own) to be able to safely shop online in the future.

  • It can be instantly completed online via your bank's website and is a necessary procedure to ensure peace of mind whilst making on-line purchases.

Normally, if you have used this card for on-line purchase before your card should already complete 3D Secure.

NOTE:

  1. 3D Secure Verification may not support Open Source (Ex: Firefox, Google etc.). The default browser it supports is Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. Please do not block any browser pop-up window while making on-line purchases.
  3. For example: A “Transaction Error. (Code: 922), try again!!" message showed up. This means your credit card doesn’t have the 3D secure. 3D-secure verification is a function your card has for the security of on-line purchase. This error message means your card didn't pass the verification task.
  4. For Your Reference:

    Transaction Error Message Code

    Message

    Code: xx1-xx2, xx6-11

    Refer to card issuer

    Code: 922, 3D:1143

    3D-Secure process error

  5. Please contact your bank and ask about 3D-secure verification. Try again after you're sure you have 3D-secure verification working.
